Since its founding in 1998, MSRA has invested on next-generation Web technologies. From then, MSRA has gradually gained its international reputation of exploring novel Web technologies and making them really benefit users. For example, in 2003, we have published 40 papers in Web related areas, including 3 WWW full papers, 3 SIGIR full papers, 2 ICML full papers, 2 IEEE TKDE papers, etc. A team of 10+ researchers and more talented visiting students are working together to push Web technologies to a new level.
Microsoft Research Asia is looking for top talents in the area of Web technology research. We are exploring a variety of new techniques for Web information retrieval, browse and organization, ranging from platforms and algorithms of faster page crawling, indexing and updating, to techniques of improving relevance and quality of information retrieval, to methods of extracting structured information from the Web, and to techniques of facilitating Web information acquisition on mobile devices.
Microsoft Research Asia is offering positions for exceptional people who are passionate to develop innovative Web techniques. Positions are open for candidates at all levels, including Software Development Engineer, Assistant Researcher, Associate Researcher, Researcher, Project Leader and Research Manager. We particularly encourage applications from senior candidates with comprehensive knowledge of Web search.
